Play the Archetypical Hollywood Hero in the Wheelman (Xbox 360)

In the Hollywood inspired driving game, you play Vin Diesel who is playing Milo Burik in the game. Set in the streets of Barcelona, you can choose what type of a mission you want to take up. In any case, you will be able to do all those amazing stunts that you see only in action- packed Hollywood movies. You can do spins and jumps and even shoot as you drive; the stunts are dramatic and stimulating.

The on-foot playing is badly made and is the worst mode to play in, but thankfully it does not last for long. There are also some absurd times, as there is no defence shield and therefore it becomes hard to point and shoot without getting hit yourself. Other noteworthy absurdities are enemies ducking behind explosive items that seem out of place in the set scenario.

Heavily inspired by Hollywood movies, the setting displays just that. The Barcelona locale does not represent the original site sincerely and the bad guys are typecast as Spanish or Russian. It seems strange sometimes to wonder why Vin Diesel would want to be associated with something as ruinous as this game.

The thrills that come from the high speed chasing and stunt car driving are almost intoxicating but the game could use a little cleaning up. The sequences without the cars are poorly created and the game could use a multiplayer interface too. One high point is the music which is edgy and suits the setting to the tee. All in all, Wheelman is entertaining and worthwhile.
