Increasing device connectivity with USB Extender

The USB extender is also known as USB booster which will allow you to extend from 1 to 4 USB peripheral devices up to 150 feet via an ordinary UTP cable. The USB extender kit consists of a local transmitter and remote receiver unit that are connected using an UTP cable. There are no device drivers required to run the USB extender and the set up is a simple plug and play. The speed of the USB extender system is 480 Mb/s for a distance of 50m/164 feet.
A fiber optic version of USB extender is also available which takes data to a longer distance with greater speed and less liability. The USB Extender being a plug and play unit, works well with almost all operating systems from Mac to Unix and windows. USB Extender KVM switch holds the capability of connecting multiple monitors, keyboards via a single switch to a single system. Wireless USB extenders are also now available which works within a range of 100 feet. It uses Wi-Fi signal to extend its footprint over any area.
USB extenders can also connect LAN cables to it. This is an added advantage when it comes to connecting different systems to share data from one to another using LAN cables. These USB Extenders are also compatible with USB 1.2 devices like keyboards, bar code scanners, printers and USB hubs. Wireless USB extensions though are convenient are relatively lower in speed than wired.
