PC2700 – Introduced and captured the market

PC2700 memory is a type of computer system memory or RAM that acts as a temporary storage area during the operation of the system. The name of PC2700 is used to describe the RAM’s data transfer rate which is at 2,700 MB/s. This PC2700 memory had been launched in the market in the first quarter of 2002. Its primary market was restricted to Intel Pentium 4 computer systems that run the i845D Intel chipset. The primary and the most vital function of PC2700 RAM is it is the storage area that keep the programs and other related data files that reside during the operation of the system. There are certain benefits of using PC2700 Ram that also use DDR technology because it doubles the capacity of RAM module data speed and this is been accelerated by  doubling the number of operations per clock cycle from one to two. The original and average size of PC2700 RAM varies from 128 MB to 4 GB for almost all consumer level computing solutions. However, there are specialized modules with higher capacities and potentiality coupled with error checking capabilities for enterprise or commercial level applications.
There is also some warning for the users who are using PC2700 as with all RAM, the data within PC2700 memory also lost if the electrical power suddenly cut down or shut off. This happen because PC2700 RAM being a volatile memory type which have the capability to hold data until and unless there is electrical power.
